Cultural

The arts are powerful forms of expression. Learning in, through and about the arts stimulates creative action and response by engaging and connecting thinking, imagination, senses and feelings. The Cultural aspect of St Peter’s is an intrinsic part of the School’s everyday life.

All students are encouraged to participate in some form of extra-curricular cultural activity. There are a wide and varied range of options available for students to participate in.

Provision is made in the timetable to allow for these activities — sometimes during a lunchtime, after school, or during an 'activity' period.

Students also take part in other major events, such as our School Productions, Stage ChallengeWearable Arts and the Performing Arts Festival.

The School recognises skill and service in cultural activities through the awarding of 'Colours'. These awards are chosen by a panel based on being a good role model, individual excellence and service to the School.
