Assessment information is now available in ‘real time’ via the Community Portal. Each parent has a user name and unique password which enables them to log onto the Community Portal.
Parents can keep up-to-date with their child’s progress over the course of each term, with any assessment, behaviour or informal comment being viewable as it is entered by staff.
Each course has a course overview and for seniors, the internal NCEA standards they have achieved.
A formal report is also written for each student. Senior students receive this report at the end of Term 3, whilst Junior students receive a formal report towards the end of term 4. The formal report is a summary of all assessments over the year and includes a formal comment.
Parents have an opportunity to meet their child’s teachers in term 1 or term 2 depending on their year level. This gives parents and teachers an opportunity to talk about student progress.
