St Peter's Sporting Success
Athletics 2011 - New Zealand Secondary School(NZSS) Championships . Ariana Lord won the Junior Girls 1500m, gold medal and Jenna Hansen won a Bronze medal in the Open girls steeplechase
Equestrian 2011 - St Peter’s riders placed 1st in the NISS Dressage Championships, 2nd in the NISS Show Hunter Championships and 3rd in the NISS Show Jumping Championships.
Golf 2011 - It has been a very successful year for the Golf team. St Peter’s first golf team WON the NZSS title this year by 5 shots. They gained the Waikato entry for the Nationals by winning the Waikato Secondary Schools Inter-Collegiate competition by 14 strokes.
Rowing 2011 - St Peter’s is ranked the top co-ed school in the country for Rowing out of 124 schools. We won 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals at the NZSS champs better known as the Maadi cup. The U18 girls won the prestigious Dawn cup.
New Zealand junior rowers have taken two medals at the World Junior Rowing Championships at Dorney Lake, Eton, with the men's coxed four taking a hard fought silver and the women's four taking an equally tough bronze.
Rugby - is a leading sport in this school, the 1st XV has been in the Premiere finals for the past three years winning the title in 2009 and 2011(Tricolor Trophy Holders).
Josh Davey has been selected to represent the New Zealand Schools team to take on Australia Schools in Sydney on October 8.
Snowboarding 2011 - St Peter’s girl's won “gold” at the North Island Snowboarding championships at Turoa

The Girls 1st XI are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS after wining this years NZSS Championships.

Squash - St Peter’s are the NZSS co-ed champions.
Swimming 2011 - After competing for two years, the St Peter’s swimming team is ranked 2
nd in New Zealand
Sam Perry has been identified as one of the top Youth swimmers in New Zealand and has been selected to attend the 2011 Top Youth Squad Camp by New Zealand Swimming.
Tennis 2011 - For the fourth year in a row, the St Peter's boy’s teams won the nationals title. The Girls team won the silver medal at the NZSS championships.
