The Italian experience was a fabulous setting to showcase the 96 entries, including 22 entries from local primary schools, for the 2012 Wearable Arts competition.
The presenters travelled around various locations in Italy to find the top design for that location. Examples of this included Pinocchio’s workshop for the inspired by children to the canals of Venice for the Illusion section that uses black light to illuminate the entries. A multi layered stage with large exciting projections, pyrotechnics and many set items moving in and out created a true feeling of being in Italy for the models and created many stunning moments for the sold out audience.
Thank you to the creative and innovative designers, models, sponsors, judges and the team of students and staff involved.
