The writing talent of our Prep School students has been highlighted in recent weeks with some fantastic results coming through from national and regional writing competitions.
Three Year 8 students in Mrs Ussher’s class have come away prize winners, with Charlie Black taking top honours in the national Gifted Awareness Intermediate Writing Competition for his poem about “Connections”. Reuben van Dalen has won third prize in the same category in the nation-wide competition. Briar Hawes, in the same class as Charlie and Reuben, has come second in the Waikato region for her entry in the New Zealand Book Council Speed Writing Story Competition.
Fantastic results for all three students, who should be very proud of their achievements.
