Day Houses
| Commonroom facilities for Day Students (Years 9 to 13) |
With over 500 day pupils coming and going from St Peter's School each day, the Day houses of Parr and Gwynnelands are the hub of the school, where the buses arrive and depart each day.
Parr House caters for day boys from Years 9-12 and Gwynnelands caters for day girls from Years 9-12. There is a separate common room for Year 13's.
The location of these houses within the Student Centre means students are close to the student services of a health centre, counsellors, chaplain and the careers centre. They are also situated right next to the main sports fields.
Each house has three teaching staff and 8 – 10 prefects who provide support and guidance to the students, ensuring their well being while at the school.
Within each house there is a large communal area with couches and a variety of entertainment. Computers are available for students to do their prep. A kitchen with fridge, microwave and hot water means students can make hot drinks and prepare snacks. Each house has showers, changing rooms and lockers where students can store extra equipment and books.
Although the boys' and girls' houses are their own private spaces, there is lots of communal seating and picnic tables close by where students socialize during breaks.
All students have their lunch in the dining room.
