| 2009 Prep School Production - Alice in Wonderland |
Directed and Choreographed by Caroline Gill
Musical Direction by Julia McIntyre
Produced by Debbie Ussher
The production of Alice in Wonderland is based on the 1951 Disney Alice in Wonderland & the novels The adventure of
Alice in Wonderland &
Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.
This performance is a real team effort between the Prep, Performing Arts Faculty, Art/Tech and building staff. All Preppies will be on stage, which for many students may be the only time this will happen.
The story:
On a summer day in the park, Alice daydreams while her sister Mathilda lectures from a book. A white rabbit runs past, and Alice follows him to the edge of a hole, keen to know where he is going. Alice jumps down the hole and lands in front of a talking door that is too small for her to get through. Once she over comes several obstacles, Alice succeeds in getting through the door, where she meets the white rabbit again and many strange Wonderland creatures. Alice experiences a bubble blowing caterpillar, a tea party, roses being painted, and a near execution....
| 2007 Prep School Production - Bats |
Bats was directed by Kyle McLean
Musical Direction Julia McIntyre
Produced by Debbie Ussher
All Preppies were on stage for most of this exciting show set in the remote village of Humperdink, in the Shire of Engleberta which had survived for centuries by growing grapes. Even though they can boast Count Dracula’s original castle and his modern lineage, no-one really seems to care. A slapstick comedy, the show had audiences clapping, laughing and wanting more.
