Secondary School

St Peter’s Secondary School educates students from Year 7 to Year 13 (aged 11 to 18 years old).  A Dean is allocated to each year group to take care of any matters relating to school work, pastoral care or other issues affecting the student. Each student belongs to a tutor group made up of students from different class levels. Older students provide a role model for younger students

Weekly Chapel, assembly and Deans’ assemblies are all part of the routine. Classes are between 8.15am and 3.20pm and are one hour long, except for Fridays where the classes are 45 minutes and there is a longer lunch hour for cultural activities. Sport and cultural practices take place on Mondays to Thursdays at 3.30pm.

Staff work closely with senior students to help them plan courses of study which will provide them with prerequisites needed for future qualifications and employment.

Religious studies are part of the St Peter’s secondary school curriculum. Religious Studies classes are based on the Cambridge IGCSE programme. In addition, each Year 12 student has a meeting to discuss their spiritual development with the Chaplain.

Every St Peter’s secondary school student plays a summer and a winter sport and participates in a cultural activity.
