Scholarships

St Peter’s offers a genuinely holistic education, catering for Body, Mind, and Spirit. Our scholarship policy seeks to reward and attract students with a variety of talents who will support this policy.

2019 Scholarships are now open and close on Friday, 20th April 2018.

How To Apply

Please submit a completed Scholarship Checklist, C.V., a copy of your child’s full 2017 end of year report, and the School application form. For scholarship applications of $5,000 or greater please also submit a Financial Disclosure Statement by the closing date, to:

Alumni Scholarship

One scholarship is available to a student in Year 11, 12 or 13. The student must have a parent or grandparent who is a St Peter’s Alumni Life Member (please give details).

Linda Bragg Memorial

A half scholarship for a Year 7 student will be offered in 2019. One scholarship, worth $6,000, will be offered every year to a Year 9, 10, 11, 12 or 13 student.

The Richard Vallentine Scholarship

Scholarships up to $3,000 are availible to Prep School Students (Years 7 and 8 only), to assist those who would otherwise not be able to attend.

Foundation Excellence Scholarships

At the Principal’s discretion, Foundation scholarships for excellence in sport, academics or performing arts may be awarded to new Years 9–13 St Peter’s students. The amount awarded will be dependent on ability and overall potential contribution to the positive culture and success of St Peter’s, Cambridge. These awards will be made to candidates who demonstrate significant skill and a very high level of proficiency and prowess in at least one of our major sports, performing arts or academic achievement. Preference will be given to pupils who have represented at a regional or national level and they will be expected to play a leading role in the academic, sporting and/or performing arts programmes of the school.

2019 Scholarships

Please note:

• In the first instance selected applicants will be required to attend an interview and may also be invited for sports trial, performing arts audition or academic testing. These will take place in Term 2 of 2018.
• Successful recipients will be notified in Term 3 2018.
• All scholarships are awarded for one year. The renewal of a scholarship is not automatic.
• All scholarship winners who seek continuation need to re-apply each year, either by letter to the Principal, or by e-mail to the Executive Assistant to the Principal: theresat@stpeters.school.nz
• In all cases, the Principal’s decision is final.
