Boarding in Years 9–13

Boarding at St Peter’s Cambridge is an opportunity for students to learn the life skills that are required for success once they leave school.

St Peter’s is home to over 400 boys and girls during term time. They live in eight boarding houses on the school campus.

Boarding educates the whole person. Living in this community enables your child to develop valuable life skills that also promote academic success. The daily patterns of boarding life, with duties and homework time, help students to learn self-management, self-control, self-discipline, respect for others, teamwork, resilience, and much more. Our co-educational environment allows boys and girls to develop social skills within systems and structures that maintain privacy and keep everyone safe.

The boarding houses are managed by a House Director and supported by either a House Manager or Matron. House Assistants (often young professionals, tertiary-age students, or staff members) and boarding house student leaders help with the running of the house. The schools' registered nurses are consulted on any health issues.  Together, this group of people provide a ‘home away from home environment and ensure the success of the boarding house.
