St Peter's U14 Rugby Through To Final

Congratulations to our U14 Rugby team who have made it through to the final of their competition.

Adam Langland unleashes the back.

On Saturday St Peter’s faced a determined St John's team - both sides working for a place in the Waikato Secondary Schools U14 A final.

St Peter’s arrived with a positive mindset and took advantage of the firm pitch, the familiar environment of the school and the phenomenal support of the vocal supporters.

The game saw St Peter’s up by 14 points in 20 minutes and playing some of the best rugby they have this year, to being stretched from one end of the paddock to the other holding off a very determined St John's for the last 15 minutes of the game.

The St Peter’s forwards played with structure and determination and the backs with urgency and strong defence.

This was a tough semi-final game of knockout rugby. Final score: St Peter’s 19 - St John's 17.

Well done Adam Langland who led our push so well in the first half, shutting down the opposition's attack options.

The team moves through to the final this week against Hamilton Boys' High. Come and support the boys!
