Some thoughts from Senior leader Quinnlan Tupou:
The season is slowly creeping up on us and we are all excited to get back out the field after what has been a very uncertain time for us all. A squad of 26 players has been named and in the team we have a good balance of both forwards and backs. With strike power Andrew Smith, Jonty Short and Shaye Retemeyer running the forwards and the wheels to finish in Blake Makiri, Justin Reynolds and George Muir. Not only do we have a balance in the squad but also captained by a great leader in Dawson Smith. Looking ahead, due to a change in the format of the competition to a North/South split, there is a real challenge around being at our best week after week. With this pressure aside, the boys are really eager to kick the season off and play some footy after.
The coaching group are excited to see the boys get out on the field and express themselves when the competition kicks off in Term 3. The boys have worked hard since the beginning of the year and it will be great to see get stuck in.
