Careers Centre

At St Peter’s, Cambridge we recognise the importance of providing quality careers support for your child.

We have an integrated approach to careers support. Through the curriculum, co-curricular involvement, and our pastoral care systems, we promote the development of essential skills, knowledge and attitudes needed for making sound career choices. This will enable students to confidently navigate their career–life journey.

We have excellent qualified careers advisors with huge depth of experience and many useful resources to help your child make the best possible career choices as they look ahead to their next steps beyond secondary school.

The Careers Centre, nestled within the Library and Information Centre is easily accessible to all students.

Careers Centre services include:

  • individual guidance meetings with students and parents provided by our qualified, career–life consultants
  • assistance with curriculum choices
  • weekly emails with up-to-date careers information and opportunities for students
  • career management workshops for students on: CV preparation, understanding tertiary options, preparing applications, interview skills, researching scholarships, etc
  • seminars for parents explaining the entry requirements for tertiary courses
  • a range of visits to, and presentations from, tertiary institutions, Industrial Training Organisations, Private Training Establishments, worksites and alumni
