Tennis

Tennis at St Peter’s, Cambridge has an outstanding record of success at national level and has produced many talented players who have represented New Zealand internationally. Our excellent training facilities include hardcourt, synthetic clay, and Plexipave surfaces and our academy coach has huge experience playing and coaching on professional tours. We provide aspiring tennis players with holistic, tailored programmes that develop talent and provides pathways for them to excel as players.

Programme Structure

Our beginner programme is for players who have not had previous tennis coaching. The main goal is to help players develop consistency through proper footwork and technique at the service line.

Our intermediate programme is for players with basic skills and is aimed at students aspiring to play team tennis for St Peter’s in the future. The main goal is to help players develop receiving skills and progress to baseline play.

Our high performance programme is for players aspiring to play at national or international level, USA College tennis, or professional tennis. This programme is based on elite high performance tennis programmes used worldwide.
