Creativity on Display

IB Visual Art Exhibition 2025

The Gardner Room was recently transformed into a vibrant gallery space as our five Year 13 International Baccalaureate Visual Art students, Dennis Wei, Sophiya Andrews, Cindy Liu, Zanzi Falahati, and Thomas Gatley, unveiled their final exhibitions. The showcase featured an impressive array of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and photography, displaying two years of deep artistic exploration and personal growth.

Each student curated their own exhibition space, thoughtfully arranging their works to guide viewers through their unique thematic journeys. From cultural identity and personal history to emotional expression and conceptual storytelling, the exhibitions offered a rich tapestry of ideas and perspectives. Observing the process and final results provided special and proud moments for Faculty Staff.

A large and enthusiastic crowd attended the event, engaging with the artists and gaining insight into their creative processes. Guests were invited to read each student’s rationale, which provided context and meaning behind the artworks, often rooted in personal experiences and cultural heritage.

Adding to the excitement, our eight Year 12 IB Visual Art students took on the role of hosts. This invaluable experience gave them a glimpse into the final exhibition process and sparked inspiration for their own artistic journeys next year.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported these talented students. Your presence helped celebrate not only their artistic achievements but also the dedication, courage, and creativity that define the IB Visual Art programme.

Congratulations to our Year 13 artists, your vision, passion, and the powerful stories you’ve shared through your art are genuinely inspiring!
