For those students who are wanting to pursue a career in golf after school, tournaments like the recent Waikato Inter Collegiate Golf Tournament are key.
Held at the Hamilton Golf Club, five teams comprising of 15 students (6 more than any other school) took to the course to compete against other schools in the region including St Pauls, Hamilton Boys High School, and Te Awamutu to name a few. It was a great day out on the course for the students as they competed against their peers to see how they ranked.
At the end of the day 8 St. Peter’s students ranked in the top 15 with Jio Jeoung, Sirinadda Rattanaburee and Edward Du taking out first, second and third respectively with Xavier Millin close behind in forth. Full individual results can be found here.
For the team competition, the top two out of three individual scores are combined for an overall team score. Our number one team of Jio Jeoung, Baylee Ross and Xavier Millin took out the first place, with our second and third teams tying for third behind Hamilton Boys first team.
