Become a St Peter’s, Homestay Host

Host families are often made up of various sizes and configurations from the local Cambridge area. All applications are thoroughly assessed by our Homestay team and vetted through a standard Police Vet check to ensure suitability for both student and host applicant.

During this process, and upon selection, we match host families and potential students together to ensure the best possible fit within the family dynamic.

Host families must be able to provide the student with their own bedroom, and bedroom furniture including a suitable study area. This space should be private and comfortably fit the students’ belongings.

We ask our host families to welcome students as part of the family. To take the time to show them how to get to school and move around the community, involve them in everyday family life, and spend time speaking to them in English to support and enrich their experience.

It is important that our students feel safe, that includes coming home to a family that is welcoming and caring, yet able to maintain firm age-appropriate boundaries.
