Spectacular Swimming Results

6 Gold, 8 Silver, 10 Bronze medals

On 17 – 19 February a team of 26 St Peter’s Swimming Club swimmers attended the New Zealand Junior Festival meet in Rotorua.

St Peter’s Top of the Points Table

They joined 340 other 12 and unders who qualified for the meet from throughout the Aquaknights zone (Hawkes Bay Poverty Bay, Taranaki, BOP and Waikato).

Six students from St Peter’s attended – Danielle Joblin, Jade Morrison, Rivi Maling, Spencer Cleland, Sonya Price and Jorja Metcalfe. We had many fantastic swims with all our swimmers improving both their best swims and their rankings. Spencer won an outstanding two medals with a bronze in the 50m Fly and bronze in the 100m Breaststroke for 11 year old boys both with fantastic PBs. Jade Morrison finished an outstanding 4th in the 12-year-old girls event in the 50m Breaststroke.

The St Peter’s team did spectacularly, winning 6 gold medals, 8 silver and 10 bronze medals over the course of the meet.

Our medal winners were Milana Tapper, Savanna Bourke, Mat Peacock, Kaitlyn Heaslip, Amelia Glover and Spencer Cleland.

St Peter’s finished top of the points table for our zone and all swimmers contributed to the points score.
