Lacrosse:
St. Peter’s Students Represent New Zealand at Australian U18 State Championships.
During the school holidays, Bobby Scott, Charlotte Scott, and Amelia Rettkowicz were selected to represent New Zealand at the prestigious Australian U18 State Lacrosse Championships.
Bobby was named captain of the Men’s team, while Charlotte and Amelia competed in the Women’s team, which played in the top-tier Division 1 competition.
Natasha Featherstone, St. Peter’s Lacrosse Convenor and Premier Coach, served as the U18 Women’s coach. Her leadership and inspiration were instrumental in driving the team to an exceptionally high level of performance. Debbie Scott, a dedicated St. Peter’s parent, was appointed manager of both the Men’s and Women’s teams, providing vital support throughout the tournament.
The Women’s team had an outstanding tournament, winning all but one of their pool matches. The Men’s team also showed great promise, gaining valuable experience and developing their gameplay against tough opposition.
The skills, experience, and leadership shown by our players, coaches, and support staff at this international competition provide a strong foundation as we head into the upcoming St. Peter’s Lacrosse season.
Bobby Scott was named in the New Zealand U20 Lacrosse team that is set to play at the World Championships in South Korea in August. Bobby is one of the youngest members of the team and his position in the team shows his hard work and determination. We look forward to seeing how Bobby and the team go in August.
