Two Netballers Named in Tournament Team

Upper North Island Secondary Schools

Year 13 Premier Netball players Lisa Mather (mid courter) and Ki-Tana Tuhakaraina (defender) were named in the Upper North Island (UNISS) Tournament A-Grade Team last week.

Selection is determined throughout Tournament Week, with selectors looking at performance, attitude, application and consistency of the players through the week.

Twenty players were selected to the Tournament Team, from 32 A-grade teams, totalling 380 A-grade players.

"Selection is a huge accolade for Lisa and Ki-Tana" says Assistant Coach Ange Russeck.

"The selectors have acknowledged these girls as being amongst New Zealand’s top secondary school players."

Lisa Mather’s speed and agility are strong assets to her game
